Iranian feature film 'Reza' directed by Alireza Motamedi has won the 15,000 Euro Ciné+ Distribution Support Award at the 33rd annual Belfort Entrevues International Film Festival in Belfort, France.
The romantic comedy revolves around the life of an author named Reza who begins to write a story about his ancestor's immigration to the historic city of Isfahan. Meanwhile, Reza and his wife separate after nine years of marriage, and despite his attempts to move on, he finds it difficult to start a new life without his ex who he still loves.
The 94-minute film's cast includes the director Alireza Motamedi as well as Sahar Dolatshahi, Setareh Pesiani, Reza Davoudnezhad, Afsar Asadi, Solmaz Ghai, Pantea Marzanian, Nasim Mirzadeh, Forough Taebi.
The Belfort Entrevues International Film Festival, founded in 1986, is an annual event that aims to provide a platform for young, audacious filmmakers to showcase their talents. The festival ended on Sunday November 25, 2018.
